Disagree about Marlin's take on the 76. I got it out of training (MIA int'l) two years ago and it has been great (I live in base). For much of the time, I've been right at the bottom and it's still good. Milan, Paris, London, Deep South, Carib, you name it. Beats hell out of anything on the narrow-body side, especially if you're junior. My average flight time is about 30 hrs/month. This month, my first full month on year 3 pay, I'm already getting paid 106 hours (picked up a couple OG trips) and the month isn't over. If you can live in base, definitely take the 76 if you get the chance.

October 1st is single ops. But jumping the fence to the other side won't start until Feb 1st.
So there still might be an LAA or LUS choice because base jumping won't start until Feb 1st. That bid will close Oct 19th. If you get hired the 18th ask if you can bid for the 'job vacancy run' closing Oct 19th with an effective date of Feb 1st. If the answer is 'yes' you'll need to do that on the 18th. Otherwise your first chance to switch bases will be for the March job vacancy run that will probably close in November or December.
The 'job vacancy run' is currently done monthly. Only required to do it 4x a year. Hopefully it stays monthly.

If S80's are available, and you don't mind getting stuck in DFW for at least nine months, bid the S80.
If the 767's available, probably MIA, and don't mind be stuck in MIA for nine months, bid the 767.
If you get displaced off of the S80, 767, or any aircraft, you can displace to whatever bid status a guy junior to you holds.
If you get assigned the S80, 767, or any aircraft and bid off ("preference bid") you get a two year lock-in.
If you want to switch bases bid the AB or 737. If you want to get to PHL or CLT ASAP I'd recommend bidding the AB.
'New equipment in a base', like 737's in PHL, CLT, or PHX, will allow you to break any existing lock-in *if* you don't start a new lock-in after the new equipment is announced.
So sometimes it's worth talking with a guy who's been on property for a bit before making equipment decisions. APA has a program(Compass Project) that new hires can participate in, that links old timers with FNG's for general assistance.
