For anyone familiar....I am currently completing the AA app and I'm wondering about the flight times section. They ask for a thorough breakdown of times by type. Do they really expect you to break out your piston single time by type?? Would grouping piston single, and piston multi be acceptable? I flew many different types while I was an instructor. Many were concurrently flown. To extract the times, not to mention landings, for all those airplanes separately would be a hair pulling, and lengthly process. I'm willing to commit the time, but don't want to do it unnecessarily. Can anyone offer guidance here? I just want it to be right, but I don't want to delay the process. Thanks in advance.

I did mine as individual types. Even if I only had 1.4 hours in a type. But I use an electronic logbook, so that made it slightly less frustrating.

I converted my civilian logbook to log ten pro, while I was job hunting for this very reason. It took awhile, but made filling out apps easier. I entered single lump sum entries for my military flying. I estimated landings.

I did the same, I think I had nearly 30 aircraft with many less than 5 hours.

It will give you something interesting to talk about in the interview.

LAA side .... safe bet would be
MIA 320,737
LAG same
LAX shortly after training
Rumor DFW S80 will be in the offerings as well. PHL 190 a pretty safe bet on the LUS side, Don't believe 767 is being offered lately, I would stay away from that anyway, as you will be junior forever,at least till they go away .

Side note, people are moving a lot lately , probably get about any base quickly, except maybe ORD
good luck
Joe
