Here's a cut n paste from my letter from two weeks ago:
Please bring the original of the following items with you on the first day:
1. All log books, flight records, etc. In addition to civilian log books, Air Force pilots need to bring ENTIRE Flight History Report, Army pilots need to bring ENTIRE FORM 759 folder and Navy/Marine pilots need to furnish all military log books. Military pilots need to bring your DD214 to cover all periods of service
2. Current Air Transport Pilot Rating (multi-engine) and/or ATP written
3. FCC Radio Telephone Operators Permit
4. FAA First Class Medical Certificate taken within one year
5. Official College Transcripts (sealed envelope) or have electronic version emailed to [email protected]
6. A valid Passport
7. A government issued ID (i.e. Driver’s License, Military I.D., etc.)
8. Any required documentation needed for re-entry after traveling outside of the U.S.

I've heard conflicting information on recalls returning....has the company exhausted the list of recalls and waiting to see who shows up to class? Wondering if the recent OTS email invites were reactive to fill vacant slots? Trying to figure out when OTS hiring will resume, and stay that way.

I don't think the recent OTS interviews will be filling any vacant recall slots. From what I understand, there are still January / February interviews in the pool waiting for a class.

Recallees expected to finish out in Sept.
Some Jan/Feb poolies (23??) might have moved on.
Lead time from interview to DOH was as quick 7-8 weeks late 2015/early 2016.
Put it all together and the company might need new candidates available, Justin Case, as early as late October with November perhaps a more realistic estimate.
Overall good news.
Upcoming retirements -
2017 - 400+
2018 - 500+
2019 - 600+ (actually a handful short of 700)
2020 - 800+
It stays 800+ for six years and peaks just below 1,000 in 2023.
The train is in the tunnel. It might slow down, it might pause, but it is definitely in the tunnel.

How does recruiting use your availability date? Do they sort their applicants by availability? Are they willing to interview early? If you still have military commitment until X date and obviously don't want to lie about availability, does is their anything negative in recruitings eyes about not using "ASAP"?

An email last month from recruitment to the poolies said July and August classes have been filled with recalls. They expect to exhaust the list soon and expect the poolies to be in class sometime in the 4th quarter.
