Def can't hurt.... The length of time you have had the app in-as well as how often it is updated are factors.

Throw apps in everywhere. Hopefully a lot of hiring will take place.

Perhaps you can get an interview while you are working on a degree-maybe they would be cool with that.

Sure can't hurt.

IMHO I would apply now. You have hours and experience and only lack a BA. There are OTS guys getting hired without it but not many and I have met many flows that don't have a BA. I would say majority of flows do but many don't. No big deal IMO.
Yes your app will get scored and maybe you don't get the interview the first look but I believe they reevaluate them annually. I know for sure Delta does. Best case is you do get the interview and don't have to waste precious family time and $ getting your BA. Never know.
Good luck and if you have done any community service be sure to add that.
Cheers

Im in the same boat. Working on the BA. Crazy thing is I interviewed back in 1998 with American and got the call to go to Eagle instead, wanted me to get some 121 time. Back then I didn't even have an AS degree. I agree with everyone....Get the degree quickly, that seems to be whats holding up progress. Ill admit I have applied everywhere but AA is where I would like to be. I grew up with AA, both my dad and father in law worked for AA and Dallas base is where I want to relocate to. Good luck

Go into debt today if it means getting a degree. You are wasting 100's of thousands of $$$ by waiting. It is stupid to finance 100k on a basket weaving degree, but 10-20k to finish a BS to get you on at a major is an excellent investment. You are limited in time at this career and each year you wait is a year less at the top of the pile. Best of luck, from a guy who took out another loan and is now at a major.

Any OTS interviews lately? Been quiet here on that front. I do understand that flows and recalls are taking up most of the training slots.

None. And expect there to be none for the remainder of 2016. At least.

Latest per APA: now calling deferred guys/gals to fill two Aug classes - one class of 16, one class of 18.

No, nothing certain - sorry. My guess is they're about 1/2 way through the 800ish phone calls. Thus far only a handful have returned. As others have stated, I would expect the acceptance rate to increase (slightly) as they get to the more "senior" people on the list.

With class sizes of 16 here, 18 there, I bet the recall list will keep them busy for the remainder of 2016. In the mean time UAL, DAL, FDX all cranking 50-100 per month through the new hire mill.

If they drag their feet with puny LAA classes, they don't have to flow many Envoy pilots and that will help their staffing does there at least for the remainder of the year. No requirement to flow to the LUS side even though it will be a trickle-thru there.

Kick the can as usual.
