I'm afraid there will plenty of other wedges you'll observe going forward here. We are essentially a tight formation of multiple wedges, all being led to a bronze destination.

Don't take APC as a representation as what you'll see ok m the line. New here myself, I was a bit concerned when I first started with what I saw on here. There are issues, but not what it would seem based on what you read here.

Agreed that for the most part that the internal cockpit line flying experience is fine (for now) and I can see that from the prospective of someone new and fresh the experience is intoxicating indeed. I've been there too. From the prospective of cohesion within the group so as to meet economic and QWL goals, our fragmentation is terminal and thus IMO, our future is bleak in that respect. As it stands now and likely for the foreseeable future, Delta will always be but a small dot on the horizon and soon, once the SLI is complete, opposing entities will finally be actually mixed with questionable results. I think in the end, we all will lose, including management and our customers as it is but yet another important, required component that will remain absent in the recipe for maximum success.

I might just be good enough for Bronze though (even a distant one) and perhaps that's good enough for most ?

Thanks for the cheery "perspective"......I think I'll just go to my layover hotel and slit my wrists....

Threatening suicide isn't the answer. It's not depressing as long as you are at peace with the realities of differentiating compensation and QWL between say Delta and AA. We aren't Delta, I'm virtually certain we never will be and I can live with that. If you want to mold the "new" AA in your mind in a way that works for you, even if it denies those realities, go for it and do (and see) what makes you happy.

I've found it isn't so bad here as long as one accepts that we aren't a premier airline nor will be compensated like one. Mediocrity isn't such a bad thing as it works both ways and is less stressful, so please..........enjoy your layover and be of good cheer.

OMG !

They make pills for that! Airlines all have their challenges. Just talk to some NWA guys from several years ago-when the CEO sent out the pamphlet encouraging them to go through their neighbors' trash.

If you really hate stuff so much, go somewhere else. If it is that dire and horrible for you-why keep showing up?

Your beloved Delta is hiring.

I'll let you know in a year or so. I do think if the collective we are battling each other it will make it difficult to make a cohesive effort to improve qol, pay, etc. Again, still wet behind the ears and probably don't know enough to see it for what it actually is. I will add being behind the curtain you find out more and realize there is often a reason for things and not always what is said here.

Anti-suicide pills ? You must mean anti-depressants. In your burst of emotion, you missed my point, that being I'm perfectly at peace and have no interest in Delta. I embrace mediocrity as it requires a lot less effort and concern !

As such, I'll have little chance of frustration and disappointment in the future. I wish you the same peaceful experience.

Being new is an intoxicating time and you should enjoy it. At some point though that will wear off and then you'll be in s better position to truly look around and see things as they really are.

We'll talk again in a couple of years.
