Is Envoy advertising a direct flow to American?

Is Envoy hiring?

Is American parking planes?

Is Envoy adding planes?

Yes, yes, yes, and yes.

Sorry, after months of no info this appears to be changing. I heard today the revised estimates from HR and pilot recruitment are 800 new hires.

Figure at least a couple of hundred furloughees will return during the second half of next year and that's 1000 new pilots they'll have to train in 2016. Most probably won't return, but 20% seems reasonable.

It would be great, but I'll believe AA runs over 80/month through the schoolhouse when I see it.

It certainly can be done. They went from one class of 70(?)/month when I was hired to double that in 2001. I don't remember the exact numbers, so ballparked. When I transitioned from FE to S80 FO, my sims were in Long Beach CA because of the overflow.

I asked about the 800 in 2016 rumor. Response was that several people have asked about that number recently, because of the posts here, but they (person in the hiring office) hadn't heard any new guidance.

Seniority list showing class sizes around 80 in 2000-2001. Years ago class sizes were typically multiples of 6 in the 80's-90's. Full load was typically 78-84 but there were some months that were higher. Maybe a 31 day month plus a class or two of DC-10 FE's bumped the total?

AB school is maxed out. Students getting sims at outside locations.
Heard one comment that is true for the 737 fleet also but havn't been able to confirm that.

One or two new sims in place but not certified. Two(?) more deliveries shortly.

Fleet replacement training is generating a training bubble that's taking a lot of training slots.

They doubled by holding 2 classes/month back in '01 for a short time. Farmed out what training they couldn't manage at the schoolhouse by sending guys to eg Long Beach for sims. 9/11, of course, put an end to that.

'99-2000 saw 2 classes a month usually topping out at 50 per class. Training center was maxed out training 100 new hires a month.
