Go work somewhere else if you think it's so bad.

Is AA hiring into PHX? Is there a choice between AA/East/West?

UPDATE - pretty solid gouge from Dallas: good news, class of 41 starting tomorrow. Bad news, 1 OTS, 6 furlough return, rest flows (incl. 13 to LUS). There will be 1 class in August, 2 in Sep/Oct/Nov, none in Dec. I believe OTS (pool-drain) hiring will increase in the next 6 classes, but that part is just my best bet. And I'm the guy who two months ago thought there would be interviews starting up again in August, so I may be an optimist.

Nope.. During the HR portion of the interview I had to sign a form which mentioned that you could be based at any base.

I believe the last new hire to get PHX was last July. There is no way to transfer into PHX if you aren't awarded it in class.

Maybe someone else can comment on if the court ruling will have any effect on East/West transfers in the near future.

I don't think the court ruling makes any difference. Really, there shouldn't be any reason why a third lister couldn't move between East and West already, as our place on the seniority list is pretty well fixed. But the issue has been "IT problems", and unfortunately it sounds like that will be case until late next year at best. Long after we will hopefully have an integrated seniority list.

Thank you for the advice though, I will consider it.
Hopefully you'll get on quickly. Thanks for your service, but while you were doing your time, AA has been exploiting employee good will for over 15 years.
Again, in the words of a great movie: " Welcome to the suck!"

TOGAANG,
Sorry to hear you have been waiting so long. Try to stay positive. AA is a great place to be right now. You will find a lot of negative comments on here about not only AA but many airlines (I'm guilty of making them too). That's why I try not to spend too much time on here.

Thanks for your service. As someone who has spent the greater part of my career so far in a military cockpit as well, I wouldn't call this place "the suck" like the above poster. All in all I've had mostly positive experiences here. It's unfortunate you have been waiting - I would guess the returning furloughs had a lot to do with your wait.
