I hope so. I'm at 3120 TT, 2196 TPIC. I know the average new hire has quite a bit more than that. We'll see!

WAI statements -
1. 14,000 applications now
2. Newhire avg TT in 2014 was 5556 hrs. Obviously MIL, especially fighter, TT is lower.
3. AA does all hiring. Former US hiring official at WAI conference and spoke during a Q&A at an info briefing.

FYI, at least on the hiring front, it's not all about the flight time. If you've done any work as an Ops officer, ADO, safety guy or anything related to that, make sure that sticks out in your profile/resume. Whatever you can do to separate yourself from the run-of-the-mill pilot with umpteen thousand hours will help you.

I had about 3,400 hours total, around 2,500 of that was PIC and about 1,300 of that as IP/EP...so you're in the ballpark.
