Also, for now they will not be doing any more interviews this year. I believe there is an interview group still scheduled for next week which will be the last unless they cancel it.
Guess I'll use this time to prep for interview and brush up on hr questions.

Did you get an interview before everything shut down?

Has anybody on the Airways side gotten this email or is it just the legacy AA side that's backed up with training?

When was the training backlog/slow down at Delta?

No, but want to be ready just in case. Reality is though it won't be until January. That's if the computer says I'm worthy.

Just a note of friendly advice. There are thousands of applicants, I've heard up to 14,000 vying for jobs at AA. Your wait could be years if at all. An interview is not guaranteed, I feel incredibly lucky that I was given the opportunity and my resume is lengthy. The only reason I am mentioning this is because a few pages ago you mentioned you had just finished your application. An interview is not guaranteed, in fact there is more of a chance that you don't get one. Spend your time not studying interview questions but increasing the viability of your resume and seeking experience.

I read that you are at Envoy. You should be looking at applying other places also, such as JetBlue, Spirit, et al. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. It's taken me two decades in this industry to get this opportunity.

So, good luck to you and enjoy the journey. How long have you been at Envoy?

Unless there are mitigating reasons an envoy pilot will be rejected from consideration out of hand

Thanks for the advice. I have been at envoy for 8 years and was at a previous 121 operator before that. I have also put in for United, Delta, Spirit, Atlas, and Omni. But the goal has been and always will be AA. I started out as a ramper and gate agent for them college, it helped pay for school and flight lessons. I hope that counts for something. Just trying to be optimistic, I know it's going to be a battle and very competitive but it's been that way for me since I started this journey 17 years ago.

Any recent info? It's been awfully quiet. Has anyone been called for a class recently? Are new-hires still occupying November and December classes or is it just Flow-Thrus and Recalls?

I think everyone is curious about these questions, it seems we have a bit of a "pool" built up and many could be looking at 6 months or more until class. I'm curious about the pool, and how new-hires are getting assigned. Typically it would be First In, First Out but I have heard that we still have June and July hired pilots who are still waiting while some August hired pilots have gotten the call.

A trend I am seeing is that several of the pilots hired in this process also had interviews with other airlines. I know of at least 6 who are in the "pool" who, faced with the lengthy delay, are now taking classes at UAL, DAL among others. I know my interview group has lost 2 already.

Good Luck everyone.
