American interviews and class dates

Thanks for the advice. All I have ever wanted to do is fly for AA. I hope I get a chance to fly with my father before he retires. He just upgraded on the MD80, so from what it looks like that is going junior for now. I guess I'll keep on fighting in the trenches at Envoy until I get the call.

I keep updating, but I've cut back from my pushing for trying to figure it out. I'll just wait and see.
Hopefully soon though.

That's what I've read. If you were hired under the old system, you knew who you were interviewing with and thus knew which certificate you'd be on. Under the new system, everyone interviews with the AA system but upon getting the job offer, they tell you which certificate you'll be working under before you even show for indoc.

Awesome good to know. Interviewed in early August under the new system and was curious when or how we found out. Just awaiting the call for training.

Well... Sort of for now. They have combined the interview/hiring process as of a couple of months ago. There are still a number of folks who interviewed with either AA or Airways before they combined the process. Those folks have continued on in the pipeline with their respective "sides". Anyone hired through the combined process after they made the announcement can wind up on either side based on company need.
