You incur a 2 year lock in for every move. However, new hires can move after 6 months, first time CA upgrade can break a lock-in at 6 months and you can break a lock-in to move to "new" equipment. "New" equipment is a new aircraft to AA(787) or new to your base(320 MIA). I believe the "new" time frame is 6 months.

One more interview question if you guys don't mind. On the invite it says to dress business casual for the first day for the computer testing. Does everyone still wear the suit and tie or is the dress shirt/no tie appropriate? Thanks!

Dress shirt and slacks/khakis seems to be standard. No tie for test day. Congrats on the offer, good luck and don't sweat the test - everyone does horrible!

Haha, that seems to be the consensus. Thanks for the reply! Am I crazy that the testing kind of sounds like fun? See how I feel afterwards I guess.

See how you feel afterwards! Most of my group walked out looking at each other and laughed. That terrible, awful embarrassing laugh as you realize you're really not as smart as you'd hoped you were!

And yet, months later, we are all at school! There is absolutely no way to study, So have fun, and good luck!

Correct but New Equip lockin is 1 year.

Wish me luck on the A319 in MIA.

the test isn't "graded" correct? Its just to establish a baseline among the pilot group for when they start hiring 0 hour cadets (like Emirates, Gulf Air, Etihad, etc currently do) in the future and have to take that test and score similar results

Can't tell you what they are assessing or if there is scoring associated, but when I described the test to a Navy coworker, he said it sounded much like the baseline brain function test the military is giving people before and after deployments to test for traumatic brain injuries. I know I felt like I had one after I took it!
