Congrats to ERJF15.
I just got done with the first week of indoc...what a rush. Some of it was fast and furious and some of it was standard indoc stuff. Take lots of notes, ask lots of questions and enjoy every second of it!!
The drop was on everyone's mind and you don't get to it until late the second day. All of the lines had an estimated Aug completion date and the S80s were mixed throughout. The folks that wanted to stay in Dallas gave up some seniority in order to stay in Dallas. All that means is there were about 8 MIA 76's before the first S80. The 3rd guy to pick wanted the S80 so he gave up about 5 line numbers to get Dallas. That's it. That's how it played out. Nothing more cosmic than that. It was pretty intense for some of us and the more junior folks felt no pressure. Half way through the pick the S80s were gone and everyone else got MIA.
Hope this sheds some light to the process. Its a day I will always remember and so will you when your turn comes. Everyone is happy to see new faces on campus.
