10 767i MIA (mostly senior)
Any questions about MIA B-767 reserve, ask. Been doing it for over 10 years. Still bidding reserve, got a bunch of line-holders below me but like reserve, especially with the new FAR 117. Weird huh?

Predicting the future is tough but at the current influx of newhires into MIA 767I FO the first newhires (Jan 14) might be able to hold a line around October (+/-).
Looking at TDY's, transfers in/out for July and the Jan 14 newhires -
MIA 767I is about 20 away from holding a line in July.
DFW S80 is about 35 away from holding a line in July.
MIA 737I is about 75-80 away from holding a line in July.

Good info! Even on reserve the 757/767/I/MIA has tons of variety so if you're a morning person or a night owl, you'll find trips that are great for you.
There's usually numerous open trips to pick from on reserve. Probably 2 of the best things at AA are the ability to pass or pick your trip (if multiple are available) on reserve. Even the most jr guys get a choice alot of the time.
Things are getting better here.

FliFast is ex TWA and I think if he wasn't at UPS he'd be real close to CA S80 in DFW.
Currently here are about 250 ish ex TWA waiting to be reinstated to CA.
Then FO's from TWA get protected S80 CA's in DFW probably 2-3 years before the 1st ex TWA FO upgrades to CA.
The arbitrator ruled:
70 S80 CA's remain in STL and 70 FO's all ex TWA
260 ish S80 CA's in DFW
86 TWA 767 CA's in MIA and 80 TWA 767 FO's in MIA
As a MIA DOM 767 CA retires he/she is replaced with a DFW S80 TWA CA
They all have reinstatement rights to go back to STL if they wish as positions open due to transfer or retirements.
Or any TWA pilot may use their seniority to bid anything they want system-wide.
Not knowing FliFast's seniority guessing 79-8500 current JR TWA S80 CA in DFW is 8,300? ish
Yes it does suck that nearly all the TWA S80 CA's in DFW are on reserve,
BUT ASK ANY RENO AIR PILOT STAPLED ON FEB 19, 1999 AND REMOVED FROM THEIR CAPTAIN SEATS WITH NO REINSTATEMENTS TO CAPTAIN AND ALL RENO AIR PILOTS ARE CO-PILOTS STILL AND THEY MIGHT SAY "IF YOU KEPT THE CAPT SEAT YOU'RE DOING OK"
