Most days off, most commutable, and they are 20+Hr 3 day trips. Plus a fun layover and a third pilot. A winning combination in most books. Every so often I see a short call reserve on the FO/FB position.

I don't think that's even legal now. But I guess it depends on the first class seating. On the US side, the Airbus cannot have an IRO anymore. So any long trips to the islands that used to need a 3rd pilot, are now staffed by two different crews. One flies one leg down while the other crew DH's. Then the DH crew flies the leg back.

Yeah, that's why I was asking. I didn't know if they had seats that qualify as class 3 rest facilities.

He's talking about the 767MIA bid status.

Absolutely true! I put my head up against a window trying to keep the 1 bar of cell reception I had. It looked a little strange to the other pilots in my squadron.......

I sent them the link from Pilot Credentials and they uploaded the LORs. Good hunting!

Are there any civilian guys getting the call? I know that the flows are 50% of the class. I am just trying to guess where a guy like me will fall. 7100 tt, 5000 turbin pic all jet no turbo prop, 500 pic in the 747, 2000+ international time. I applied Oct 1. I was also a Chief pilot at 2 135 companies as well as a check airman on the learjet.

I was wondering the same thing. Right now I don't think it looks too promising. A couple guys from my airline got hired on there this year (both mil) and one of them said that his entire interview class was military.

Yes. Although I am a vet (enlisted), I've been 121 for seven years. Hang in there.
