How about training dates? How soon after indoc? I've heard in the past it can be anywhere b/w one and six weeks. How did this drop stack up?

Wow it really seems like AA hires predominantly military guys off the street as the civilians come via flow. Very interesting.

I think some classes had 50%+ civilian off the street.

Most, if not all, of the class drops have been posted so the breakdown could be totaled and posted.

They still hire civilians but for the most part over 50% of the recent classes are flows that are mainly (not all) civilian background. Don't worry..they are doing a good job of hiring all different backgrounds.

From what I see DFW S80 is the most junior. 767 MIA is in the middle. Some guys want it, some don't. 737 seems to be the senior new hire bid.

It will really depend on the makeup of your class and where guys ultimately want to go. If you get a class with a bunch of Dallas guys, the S80 will go more senior. Some guys want MIA and will take the 767.

No. Once you're in the AA Flight Academy, they assign you an employee number and give you an ID, is the earliest you tell SW TBNT.

Or you can wait until the last minute to tell. Two weeks prior? Again, not a bad plan. Crazy things have happened so there's not point in burning a bridge until you have to.

Congrats! It is great to see pilots choosing their employers. That is awesome.
