Yup. A very temporary hiccup in clearing a training backlog on the AA side and will be hardly noticeable. Sounds like the U side hiring is humming along steadily though. Still short-staffed in most statuses here at AA and reserves are being jerked around heinously. Management is dragging their feet implementing some important contractual provisions and those who said Parker's colors would eventually reappear may get a gold star yet.

Like getting cancellation pay !!! We STILL don't have cancellation pay on the east except the last pairing of the month.

One wonders how fast the MOU process will conclude which should resolve all issues including this one ? On one hand, if Parker wants his synergies ASAP, we'll have to get past not only the JCBA, but the SLI quickly (and elimination of fences is a key part of pilot staffing and deployment which is understandable that he'd want for pure operational freedom). On the other hand, he'll have to agree to a completed JCBA to even start that process and not only does that include the refinements included in the JCBA, but satisfactory resolution of issues like these.

Like you have said in the past this is where we will see his true colors. If Parker really wants it badly the JCBA can be done quickly. Let's just hope USAPA can't delay the SLI forever!!

Training limitations aside, what I think and hope will happen is that once there is one carrier, fences or no fences, that crew efficiencies can go up. AA has always had dismal scheduling of pilots so productivity has been low. Too many in one status, too few in another, long sit times (and layovers) domestic and internationally. Even without total synergy now, decent management could clean-up the system for some major savings, maybe even improve pilot QOL and/or pay. It's nice to dream, and when you see so much waste going on, it's all you can do!

I finished my AA app last week and I was wanting to add something to it, but I cant access my app online. I have heard the window is closed. Is that why? Also, when I 'published' my app I didnt get an email notification. Is that normal?

It's my understanding that even if USAPA is put out to pasture on schedule, the earliest JCBA completion would be fall and SLI early summer to late fall of 2015 (assuming "arbitration" will decide the ISL). He and Kirby have publicly represented that a positive relationship with employees is a key goal, so yes, let's see if he walks the walk like he talks the talk. Living up to your agreements is a major indicator in the credibility department.

Same thing here, I emailed PilotCredentials and they said they are showing my assessment complete and I did not need to retake it. They were working on removing the link for those that do not need to take the assessment.
