Thanks for clearing that up. I hope you are right. Had a pilot today talk to me about this. Some of the west guys want to stay on the east and are appealing to USAPA to protect them and not send them back to the west because they have a life out on the east now. Sending letters. All kinds of bs. Because they are getting recalled soon. Some already have like Dave. They have kids in school and established a life out east and don't want to commute. I just don't think its fair that if we merge like CO and Delta then in relative position these guys will go senior to there own guys on the west. How can that be? Hoping for the Nic. But I don't know.... Eastholes want doh. Hope we get our own representation.

One of your fellow West pilots ( and a leader of your 'Army' ) moved himself up 1100 numbers doing just that.

Let me try to wrap my head around this:

Sandy is upset because 25 West pilots are trying to work an angle in order to screw their West colleagues by leapfrogging up the West list.

The East pilots are to blame for this.

Then, hopes for separate representation when one of the 'army' leaders moved himself, by his own admission, 1149 numbers up another list by engaging in the very behavior Sandy hopes to avoid.

This is who s/he wants to represent his interests.

Did I get it?

Nah you aren't understanding this correctly. West pilots can choose not to come back west but if they so choose they lose their Nic. number. In other words those that stay east will be junior to themselves when this is all ironed out.

Heard a rumor that if that happens they will jump in seniority over the west guys that are junior and never got furloughed. Are we getting our own representation at the table with AA? Or is USAPA gonna represent us? Does anybody know? Something about relative positon % jumping them up the list by 10 or 15%. That doesn't seem fair to the west guys who have been riding the bottom this whole last 7 years.
Welcome Sand Heat, a few questions for you.

Why didn't you take the recall east? The ones that did really stuck their necks out and have been in limbo with it. It's worked out well for some. I've flown with two of them, both good pilots, one good to work with, one a bit standoffish.

If a pilot that came east resigns his old number and keeps his east number, so what? It's the same thing guys that were furloughed from US and went to AWA did. They are risking losing their Nic number, so if they take the risk it's their business.

And last-eastholes? If you show up to fly with me are you going to call me an easthole to my face?

I was never furloughed so didn't have the chance like the guys junior to me are getting. They will stay east with there west doh not the east doh that would make more sense. We are all good pilots. And no. I won't call you an easthole as long as you don't call me a westacle.

But that's if we get the Nic. If we don't, then what? They are actually better off over there instead of coming back here and being junior. Right? That's what I am saying isn't fair. Why do junior guys get a better deal? I don't know your number. But I am fairly junior myself. If I don't get the Nic, id like to jump up the list relative % wise.
