I'm almost certain that they removed the second Jumpseat. It's now pilot suitcase storage. What I mean by removed is, the seat structure is still there but the seat cushion and 2W is removed from the aircraft. Edit: someone stated this already

And understand completely why. I jumped on Alaska from DFW-SEA ~4h30m flight and it SUCKED with an AS guy in the 1W. I told myself I would never ever never ever do it again. Unless it was cus a family member was very sick.

US East, we use non-seniority ground instructors for ground school and IPTs (Integrated Procedures Trainers). Our Flight Instructors are line pilots.

I think a lot of the gripes about AA training are fleet related.

I've been in most of the fleets at one time or another. At least back a handful of years, the 767/757 fleet was the worst, no offense. Both the 737 and 777 fleets have excellent check airmen and instructors who teach, and do it well.

My oral in the 767 was 100% differences. We delved into systems minutia that would have stumped a Boeing engineer, all in an effort to demonstrate just how smart the Check Airman was... total waste of time.

Just curious, was it Andrej K? He's moved on to the Airbus (God help them).

AA again seems to be advertising for non seniority sim instructors. Anyone have any updated info on terms and conditions, if they've changed from four years ago?
