The ALPA machine told us how it would come down. Nobody had a say in the matter. It really doesn't matter if you have paid tens of thousands in dues to ALPA to have a new hire placed in front of a pilot with 17 years of service. The next arbitration will be a group of three to put some reason in this mess with Mac Bond.
Cant fight your own battles littlewood, gotta call for moderator help? Not at all surprised by that action as that's the east MO but this is not the east own and operated forum USAVIATION!!

No the ALPA machine did NOT tell you how it would come down. The east MEC managed your expectations to the very end and promised you something they knew they would be unable to deliver. The arbitrator gave the east a chance in mediation and then again in arbitration to back off of that DOH position and they refused.

Now I am also sick of hearing this horse $hit about 17yr pilots, the east was furloughed past 18yrs at the time of the merger and those 17yr pilots were working for ANOTHER COMPANY!!! Mid Atlantic was NOT ON THE MAINLINE USAIR seniority system no matter how many times you try bullcrap that mess thru. Mid Atlantic just like AMERICAN EAGLE is a different carrier with ITS OWN SENIORITY LIST!!!

The arbitration was fair and you dont like because you were UNABLE TO RECOUP YOUR MISERABLE careers at our expense! Yes it will be a panel of 3 and you think they are just going to give you a pass on the previous? That's laughable and shows you complete lack of the arbitration process. I love the way you think, dont like something you agreed to just dont honor it! Dont like that mortgage you have? Call the company and tell them its unfair because back in the stone age your mortgage was much less. Can't stand that car note and think its unfair because others are pay less for the same car? Dont pay it and tell them its unfair. Oh BTW let me know how that works out too.

I heard from an AA pilot this week that the new management is pushing for a minimal fence in operations integration. Any truth to this?

I'm starting to think neither side gets what they want. No Nic, no DOH.

I think they are pushing for heavy equipment only fences, no base, narrow body etc. Look no further than the poor twa guys in stl to see why that type of deal is bad for everyone

I am very confident the usairways pilots will be arranged in Nicolau order on the final list, might not be called Nicolau but it will be in Nicolau order. Can you imagine the 3 arbitrators throwing away nicolaus work? Unlike the idiot beasties, Arbitrators hold Nicolau in very high esteem.

Don't know about everyone. It sure would be nice to bid for DFW. Screw having to wait for years.

Unlikely. At any rate, the various sides will undoubtedly push their interests, but in arbitration, anything is possible and nothing is probable as the east discovered to their horror.

I believe Dfw is the second most senior base behind LA. If your seniority can hold it you should be able to bid it right away. I see phx becoming one of the most senior bases very quickly, might open Dfw up a bit.
