That's exactly what happened. We don't have 18% furloughed because none of the west attrition has been replaced. The west had 1900 active pilots date of merger and is at around 1600 today. We have pilots on furlough for 5+ years and after this last bid we will have 69+ Pilots that were captains in 2005 still in Fo seats.

Doug has been hiring new pilots for at least three years. Why hasn't he put any of them in PHX?

Because date of merger in 2005 that guy was 25% on the west list. How is that hard to comprehend? I was a mid 1998 hire 757 captain in 2005 on date we merged, lost my seat and moved backwards in 2008. 3 full years after we were a single company. So you see the Nic was based on positions held at pid not what we can hold 7 years later after the east forced separate ops and worked for less money and benefits. What you see on the Nic is what people held date of merger back in 2005, if anything it is glaring proof of the outright theft of west jobs by east pilots.
Why do you tell us that you flew the 757..? Wasn't the pay rate the same for all two types of your planes, until the MOU became effective?

Let me help cacti out. What he really means is that their shrinkage outran their attrition.
The west system started shrinking at the time of the merger. Things is, because US was in Chp11 the plan was to return their aircraft, replace them with Mesa CRJ 900, then realign west flying to get our of unprofitable flying. 757s started back to Hawaii, A320s replace them, 737 replace CRJs etc. Within a month or two of closing the merger, HoJos painted CRJ900s were flying on the east as our 737s headed to the bone yard. The east parked over twice as many hulls as the west post merger. 757s, A320s and 737s.
What really po's cacti is that the Nic was going to continue to allow the west to not pay for their shrinkage, on the backs of east guys. That windfall was denied, but they did have a saving grace in the TA, so that's why they contractually flew more of the former east flying.

Who did I work for in 2008 when the downgrades happened? See you are so twisted that you think what happens post merger and post sli is the same as what happened prior to the merger. You are all mentally retarted

I have been on the same certificate as you since 2007. Our furloughs and downgrades happened in 2008. I won't expect you beasties to be able to tell the difference between what happened 3 years after we were one airline and what happened before our merger since you all have a damaged brains.

So, is your theory that you personally saved us so you should not have to participate in the west system reduction?

OK, listen, you won in Silver's court, the nic. is gone so just be happy and let us westies beat our heads against the wall. If it makes you feel better you can believe that pre-merger and 3 years post merger career expectations should be retroactively applied to a final and binding arbitration years after it has taken place. But believe this, there is no sane, rational person that buys the lies you easties have to tell yourselves just so you can look in the mirror.
