US 9% w/b.
AA 20% w/b.

32 vs. 126. 4 w/b deliveries in the next 3 yrs vs. 33 at AA.

A330 pays the same as the 777 *AFTER* the merger. Before the merger it was 75% of 777 pay(less than AA n/b pay).

More destinations but 2/3's the number of seats. Want to add the Asia or S. America numbers to the discussion? That's what feeds the 126/32, and soon to be 147/36(2016), w/b gap.

You are talking about US total, I'm talking about US east as the company and the west want separate representation. It's more like 15% for the east.

What was your WB rate going to be absent a merger? Doesn't really matter, as of today they pay the same.

You like the Nic? Read what he said about orders. As of the 9th all orders change as they are going to the combined airline.

You fly seats or aircraft. We have more routes. Not saying it's even, but hardly the "feeder" as sewerpipe said.

Did you know that the A330 pays the same as the 777?

Now you made a prediction a while back that some over here think might come true. That is since the west is pulling for separate ratification, they will get it and be completely separate. No credit for the east widebodies and cacti coming in as a first officer.

I do think it will look something like UA/CO, with a larger part of the top of the list going to AA, but doubt it would go like you and your buddy say, even if AA would like it.

Merry Christmas.
Not my ideas only stating what my friend's thoughts are. I got no goat in this fight as I stopped flying in 83. My interest is on the legal side. Still, my evil side smells APA's hand on some of this. Some apparently want most of the marbles and don't consider USAir with their low wages an equal. I do know APA plays hardball with companies they take over and several told me a strategic bankruptcy is not the same as financial bankruptcy the east faced. American did have several billion in the bank. So they feel stronger about the merger benefiting them. I would not be surprised if someone that would benefit was quietly talking to someone who wants something off the record (likely under guise of "legally protected" speech). Easy to manage that. Company gets what they want. APA gets what they want. Done deal while the east and west focus on each other. You folk should meet right this damn minute and hash something out or you are going to be toast. I will predict as I stated above. APA will ask for "reasonable" conditions and with the (cough, cough) help of the company get what they want. It is a standard to change things up to be "financially reasonable" for the company. So I predict they will ask for all WB flying to save inhouse cost of ops. Strictly to help out the company you understand. The west won't come out much better except seniority wise by slotting that APA has stated they want. I guess we will have to see down the road. It will be interesting to see how the grievance comes down. I still think Siegal will prevail. He has researched well in his post trial brief. The east is out of their league legally. That you can bank on.

We gave the daughter and dumbass SIL a trip to Paris for Christmas so we have the grands. Will be busy with them for a week but I hope to keep up with this soap opera. Just can't wait to get back to the Bahamas on the second!

Very interesting Sewer, you have not flown in 30 years and you have a dumbass SIL. I agree with you on one thing, APA will be happy.

I went through the 73 oil embargo, worked at three failed airlines, butt loads of now ex mil pilot's trying to find jobs doing anything. I know a F4 recon pilot that went to work for a wheat farmer flying a twin Comanche. I had a crazy wife (at the time) and two kids. What a future to look forward to. Went to law school and never looked back. I made a butt load of money and retired as a snotty rich ****. How bout you?
Son in law is a dumb ass because he left his second year of medical school and went to law school. He is not a bastard so he does not make real money. I guess he is happier.

That's a surprise.
Why? You know him? I am a bastard and he is not. He left med school for law. He won't ever get into the top 10%. You got to be a bastard for that. That makes him dumbass. My son (his room mate in college and med school) was making 400K as a anesthesiologist after his buy in (three years) in San Antonio. The dumbass would have done better staying in medicine.

Bottom line is you guys don't band together you are going to get bent over and take it up your ass. Personally I don't think USA pilots are smart enough to pull together. APA will roll over you.

Jesus. I don't think I've read anyone who posts on this forum whose priorities are so far out of whack. Apparently you measure self-worth by the thickness of a wallet. How sad and unfortunate.

If your "dumbass" SIL is really smart, he'd stay as far away from you as humanly possible.

Could not care less of your opinion because you are immaterial in my life. And yes I measure a man by his success in life. Only losers don't.
