It would be worth something if you had anything of value to keep people in check with but you dont. Now I am not part of the AOL in crowd so I cant say i understand your comment in that regard. I have been here since the onset to make sure the east mantra is keep in check and that the world of aviation knows just what they have done.

WD at AWA

If you take your perspective from this board, yeah it will be a ride! Did you follow any of the rants on the UA/CO board? And they got the pretty girl!

I thought this process was pretty well controlled, but the company inviting AOL to the table, and them as a LLC just appointing a west merger committee has put a wrinkle in things. A grievance has been filed.

Oh and WD, you're probably right, I imagine other airlines had a higher % of scabs than AWA. But you had a bunch and that gets me when you guys call us that. On the widest interpretation we had maybe two.

I think Delta is the one that got the pretty girl and vice versa, since NW got Delta's management team.

You wanted it to be controlled so you could get away with harming the west? Sorry, but our two groups were separate groups prior to USAPA forming. You took away our representation and thought you could just ignore an arbitration. Looks like we may finally have representation. What was that old saying? Taxation without representation?

Although I may not agree with what you've tried to do with our, I mean YOUR union, Merry Christmas all the same. I think things will get better for all of us. Some however may choose to carry a grudge, my plan is to try not to do that.

You, you personally not west pilots, are the idiot of the industry.

Nothing was stolen. USAPA tried to put a DOH SL into effect, but failed. You won on that. We were operating under the TA until Dec 9th. Separate ops, go read TA-9. From Dec 9th we are operating under, wait for it........SEPARATE OPS!

How did we bust a union with a legal vote? Did AA bust ALPA when they left?

Merry Christmas.

I'm guessing that you are using "you" as the east collectively, but I didn't. I didn't agree with USAPA or vote for them. I was along for the ride just like you. It's just that after their LEGAL election, I took a different stance on how to work with them, and at times they saw me as working against them. I can assure you that there are a few officers and reps that hate me more than you.

I hate to break it to you, it's your union too, for a few more months. I think the way you guys dealt with them was a mistake, we'll see, but you've already lost a lot that you won't get back. I think AOL led you guys astray.

Good plan for the grudge. It shows a good head on your shoulders.

Merry Christmas.

Back in town for the holidays and big Atlanta was a overbooked zoo. Got to go to the store for SWMBO'ed but a few thoughts to annoy. First some of you guys are still crowing about paying Marty Harper. You don't have your eye on the right target. I said before I left that it was the company and Siegal that you needed to watch. Siegal is the best lawyer and as I said the company will win. Grieve all you want you are going to lose that battle (and money). Secondly, do you really think it is only the company wanting the west at the table? Who just might benefit from splitting the two groups? Anyone? You guys are playing Tee Ball while others laugh.

My best friend just retired (he got his!) and we talked last night about what is going to happen. His thoughts, which I think many of his co-workers also believe, is both USAir and AWA are not true legacy carriers. They are not on AA, UAL or DAL level. Wide body flying is but a very small part of USAir. USAir is really just a large regional feeder with a few WBs. So what should happen in Arb is moving all WB ops into AA International Division-rational it is too expensive to keep both operating for the company. Slot all USAir pilots into NB. Fence WB for 5 years. Period. End of story. Clean and simple and protects native APA, who have been waitng just as long as you guys. APA will prevail in MB like UAL did. USAir pilots will not be paid like a regional pilot so they will be better off and in five years a shot at WB. No base fences. Hope everyone has a happy holiday and a better New Year.

Interesting on how you and your buddy defined a "regional feeder." What region and feeding whom? Do you and your buddy know that US serves more destinations in Europe than AA? Or that about 15% of the east US fleet is made up of widebodies, vs about 20% at AA?(if airfleets is correct). So yeah, AA has a lot more widebodies, but 15% vs 20%? Not like the west's 0%. Did you know that the A330 pays the same as the 777?

Now you made a prediction a while back that some over here think might come true. That is since the west is pulling for separate ratification, they will get it and be completely separate. No credit for the east widebodies and cacti coming in as a first officer.

I do think it will look something like UA/CO, with a larger part of the top of the list going to AA, but doubt it would go like you and your buddy say, even if AA would like it.

Merry Christmas.
