QUOTE=cactiboss;1512096]I support anything that harms usapa
I would NEVER support LOA93 or any management keeping ANY pilot group at bankruptcy wages while they rake in the $$$. No matter what. I would never support this being done to you, or my worst enemy, or my fiercest competitor. Furthermore, although I do not agree with the Nic, I do not "support anything that harms" the America West pilots.
You seem to think that having no empathy for us makes you more right about the Nic. It does not.

LOA 93 sucks, that's the truth. It is truly unfortunate that you have had to live under this for close to a decade now. However, you had the chance for pay parity and to get out from under LOA 93 but you guys decided that you would rather live under that contract than accept the Nicolau.
It's that simple, no one is keeping you under LOA93 but you.

Your MHO is a foolish one then because you would have either upgraded by now if you haven't already AND you would have had a minimum 15% pay increase immediately on top of that upgrade. This pilot group would have been working on its next contract to mimic that of DAL but because silly a$$ poorly thought out "humble opinions" like yours, this entire pilot group is in the cellar with the AWA pilots slightly better in terms of benefits. This is what happens when you bring EMOTION to a business decision.

You guys have revisionist history on the Kirby. It was crap. You guys agreed it was crap until the Nic came out and it dawned on you that it, combined with the TA kept the lottery ticket at bay.
No raise for the 190, it gutted scope, no min fleet. That combined with the great recession of 2008 would have decimated us. The company was chomping at the bit to reduce but couldn't because of the TA.

Why does management want to cut flying so bad at this place? They should be ordering 100 planes for expansion.

In 2008 they had stepped on their you-know-what. They had bad fuel hedges coming due and a half a billion dollars gone poof with a bad investment, all while entering the great recession. It was a whole different picture then than now. The TA probably kept them from cutting and allowed them to ride the wave on recovery.
