Can any numbers people out there explain to me how AA is making $1b less in net income than Delta/United? Genuinely curious. I know we are paying down debt (maybe more aggresively than them), but aren't they also? And does our net income reflect debt payment, or are we taking our net income of 774m and using 680m of that to pay down debt?

Where is AA's major shortfall compared to the other 2? WB flying & corporate accounts accounts for all of it? Quick count shows 126 / 166 / 198 WB for each AA / DL / UA.

I think it's due to the armies of 'managers' on the ramp. Those dockers, clipboards, and walkie talkies don't pay for themselves!

on the earnings call, Isom said they calculated 750mil of missed revenue in the first half of 2024 due to the old sales strategy. They expect another 750mil for the rest of the year. The sales missteps were massive it seems

Vasu tried to cut out middlemen and it didn’t work. He was fired last quarter.

I'd be curious to know what the fake fincial analyst on AArena has to say, but he blocked me for the sin of having a different opinion and questioning his inflated credentials.

this probably also has to do to the fact they are expecting the FA’s to pass their TA. Which like our last year caused a loss. But again they still have got to figure out a way to make and sustain more money.

I did see a chart from some financial place that did show an increase in money starting end of 25 going forward it was lined up with paying off the debt. The chart grows more as the decade goes on.

but it’s big company finance and accounting they can make the numbers do what they want.
