So. Is this a prevalent occurrence coming from the top, or is it a one-off rouge chief pilot attempting to display his/her absolutely authority over the minions?
Aanyone know which bases have these types of power-tripping chiefs at AA?

Kinda reminds me of the ORD Eagle Chief pilot, circa 2019.

Never talk to Kapo pilots without union representation no matter how small the issue is. In fact don't even bother returning their phone calls. Let them just call the union first.

Yeah. Same here at ORD. No harassment...so far.
Burned all my sick, and used unpaid sick also. Had one missed trip because I forgot to turn off trip trade, and didn't get a call. Maybe got lucky, but no hassles so far. We did get a call once about a delayed right start flight due to MX, but they just wanted to know why the delay. Only thing I've heard is a kinda threatening call from DFW chief for leaving the APU on, but I wasn't directly involved in that. Hopefully AA mgmt doesn't become like how they treat the WOs.

Not sure why, my interactions with him have always been positive but I'm not actively looking to sabotage the operation so there's that.

Mine have been mixed. I'm person much better than on the phone. I called out sick with COVID and got yelled at for calling out too close to sign in...I was educated on the perks of calling in sooner. I hung up.

i was on SC at the time. assigned the trip the day prior.

now, i am on perma short call. fun being at the bottom of one of the most senior bid statuses. it results in me not working much. been home 8 days now
