I'm SC also. I thought if it was outside the original sequence footprint it was AF. Inside is 25. I had something similar happen a few months ago and called contract compliance. Crew tracking coded it as a 25. Contract compliance said it should be AF since it's outside the original sequence footprint. I called tracking back and they corrected it to AF.

You gotta call Crew Tracking, talk to a supervisor and ask for a trailing deadhead.
Need to do this within 48 hours, or else they won't credit it. Even if they deny the first time, just have it on record that you asked for a trailing deadhead, so that if you go back to argue it later, it's on record that you asked within the 48 hours window.

The addtional flying included one working leg followed by a DH to base. I was the first one to check-in for the DH. After I checked in is when I called APA and tracking to correct the code from 25 to AF. An hour or two later I checked the loads for the DH and noticed I was no longer listed on the priority list. After calling APA again, I found out any changes to your HI3 will delete your listing from your DH and you have to check-in again. There's nothing in place to notify you of this and you will go to the back of the upgrade line based on your new check-in time.

So. Is this a prevalent occurrence coming from the top, or is it a one-off rouge chief pilot attempting to display his/her absolutely authority over the minions?
Aanyone know which bases have these types of power-tripping chiefs at AA?
Kinda reminds me of the ORD Eagle Chief pilot, circa 2019.

Also, John M. in New York. TDY'd there for the summer 2000, last week of Aug, John knew we were getting kind of homesick, so he first-classed us back home a week early and called it good.
Thanks Guys, wherever you are now, i'm sure its better.
