Default December 2024 Vacancy Awards

Well they are out.

- Surprises for me at least is PHX 737 went junior and DCA 737 CA was the plug for upgrades and 32 is a lot for that small bid status!

- Widebody still senior.

That is all.

Congrats to everyone that got what they bid for.

Looks like 320 ORD went more junior than I was guessing. I'm in CLT now with nothing keeping me here and I've been tooling with transferring to LGA or ORD to get a change of scenery. Love big city living. This bid didnt help my decision cause it looks like I could hold either.

I believe ORD went JR because people like myself were concerned with the initial size of it. 35 is pretty small, and nobody knew if it would go sr or jr. I wasn’t willing to risk it going senior and going from holding a commutable line out of DFW to being on SC reserve in ORD. The next bid it may go more senior. Also, going to Chicago in December? Nah, I will wait until the next one and show up there in the spring time.

You're now a full year behind, at least, for first available upgrade if you go 320 instead of 737. You're now a full year behind, at least, for first available upgrade if you go 320 instead of 737.

Interesting that the PHX 737 Q&A- along with the December vacancy announcement- only showed 30 slots for 737 CA/FO each, but when you do a pdf search of the preliminary award, there were 58 PHX CA 737 and 57 PHX FO 737

This is due to backfill and projection modifications. Happens on every bid.

this is different though isn’t it? It’s a brand new base so it’s not like there were existing phx 737 people that created more spots by going to wide body etc.

they said 30/30 to start this new status but instead almost doubled it. Surprised me too.

I think they did the same thing with LGA 787 on the last vacancy. More awards than advertised.
