Um, no.
It's been a bit since I was on short call. There is a limit to how much earlier they can put your RAP than your regular one on day one. I forgot what it is and am too lazy to go look it up now, just wanted to point out they can't just do whatever they want. There were times I did PVR but I knew the limit and was ready for it if it happened.

You have to answer your phone if they call you. If they call you that means you got a trip and have to go fly.

This shows that you know nothing about the reserve system at AA. If they call, it is possible that you can pass it down. You don't always have to fly it.

You also should NEVER answer your phone. Call them back 15 minutes or so later after you have looked at the trip for legalities.

I know I was trying to be funny. I apologize

Going off the 2023 Compass Reserve Guide, RAP shifting limits do not apply for the first day post-DFP, and whatever you get via PVR as a SC is awarded in DOTC, which gives you the required rest to be legal for the earliet RAP (1600 - 0200 HBT).

In short, if you're a SC and not ok with 0200 RAPs, PVR is not your friend.

I don't think so. As long as they give you enough rest which would mean they would have to end your day 1 RAP early (happneed to me a lot). If you were awarded an afternoon RAP through your monthly bidding expect it to get progressively early each day after during your reserve block. At the very least they have to get you to 10am or earlier by your last day.

Per the CBA under RAP shifting limits, the most they can shift your RAP every subsequent day after DAY 1 of a block is 5 hours earlier (which is still a lot). They are only obligated to maintain the RAP you were awarded on Day 1 of your block, but that can and likely will be changed if the pilot ballots in the PVR to attempt to be processed in DOTC after all LC pilots. A lot have been burned by this and instead of getting a trip, their late RAP they were initially awarded turns into an early one.

I was specifically referensing PVR for day one RAP. Not the subsequent days.

They can't move your day one rap earlier.

They can if you proffer for a trip the day before and don't get it. Of all the incomprehensible nonsense that makes up the reserve work rules, that is the most egregious. You volunteer to work on a day off, get told no thanks, then get your day 1 RAP moved earlier for your trouble.

Do they always do so? No. But it's absurd they get the option simply by virtue of turning your request to work OG down.
