They are expensive to operate therefore should be cheap to buy used. We have a E190/A220 sized hole in our fleet and need smaller sized lift anyway we can get it.

Supposedly we've been looking to buy used 777s for years now too. They would have the same cheap to buy/expensive to operate economics.

I heard we were supposed to get some from Cathay Pacific but then the Boeing delays meant they had to keep their old planes going so we couldn't have them.

And it can be done without adding another fleet type. Additional fleet types aside, I do wonder how the econmics of an A319 stack up against an E190/A220.

Terribly except for whatever we save by having only 4 types and some variants of those types having common engines that our overhaul facility can work on. Acquisition costs should also be lower but those are depreciated off the books fairly quickly.

Is that enough to make it make sense? I have no idea.
