For what it's worth I'm sure we'll be back to understaffed come next spring/summer with 900+ retirements/medical outs a year. The company will wait too long to start new hires classes to save a few bucks.

exactly. Which is why I said Sept 2025 for classes starting back up. They will go under staffed next summer and keep the picket line crossing CKAs on the line to cover our low staffing, then we will be properly staffed over the fall in winter while they hire to cover retirements and possible, and I stress possible, new aircraft coming in.

Yeah. I don't care if it's every status. They've only been handing out a couple in the bids; haven't seen/heard of more than 10 to 20. Like I said before, the majority will hum along as normal; big nothing burger.

We used to (pre-covid) staff for shoulder months and push staffing limits in the summer.

Now, we staff for summer flying (remember how Isom cut summer flying 5% to ensure reliability? due to staffing?) and go into the shoulder seasons slightly overstaffed. And people ***** at that.

Armchair CEOs are just gonna armchair CEO.

Calling it right now. They'll wait way too long to start back up and in summer '25 the PM/PR is going to be flowing just like 2 years ago for green July.

More bid statuses (BOS 320/PHL 73) most likely coming making training churn. XLR rollout and growing pains coming in hot. You hit the nail on the head. Summer '25 = Make hay while the sun shines; heck, holiday season too for that matter.

Will there be a March vacancy announcement? Is the company required to have one every quarter? I thought I heard/read/misunderstood somewhere that only three a year were contractual. Maybe that changed with the current contract….
