you can volunteer for the Furlough or MOU.

but with the Furlough the company is agreeing to payout our section 23 furlough pay. So in other words you can take a cash payout and go elsewhere.
Sadly you don't know WTF you are talking about <Tear>

So back on topic, can we expect AA to pick up hiring after the summer? I have been updating my times and had an email exchange with a recruiter a couple months ago (to fix some things on my app). So far nothing further. Spirit captain about to (likely) downgrade (and super bummed about it). Live driving distance from two big AA bases.

Hiring hasn't stopped. Interviews are on-going and CJOs are being offered. Summer training pause (normal) and classes will resume in Sept. Good luck.

Summer is always slow. "All hands on deck" for summer travel.

Hiring has NOT stopped and will not stop for foreseeable future.

800-1000 dudes mandatory age 65 each year for next few years.

If you live in DFW or MIA/South Florida, AA is a no brainer.

Ok, great. So just keep waiting until they call or email with an interview offer? Also how can I find out about meet and greets?

I went to last year's OBAP event and it worked out well. Next one is August 21-23:

I've flown with a few guys who came from Spirit. Great guys all. Good luck to you. I'm sure you'll be called sooner than later.
