Which, Chapter 7 - cursed be its name- aside, will happen.
They just weren't getting enough attention on their own air line forum so they had to come over to ours and do a few gate house PAs.

Unfortunately there isn't much to talk about until hiring resumes so this is what you get.

That's not it at all. If someone brought up AA (or a former employer) in a different forum, and either derided you, or posted inaccurate information, or whatever, you would likely weigh in if you came across it. And you do.

So when someone brings up another airline/union in the AA forum, it's fair (and entirely within the TOS) for pilots with that company to either correct that info, confirm that info, or to comment on it.

DL has one of the more active forums here, for whatever reason. AA, until recently, did not. 2 of the 7 most recent AA threads have DL in the name of the thread, and this thread has AA pilot brining up DL. Don't be suprised when you bring up another company (either by name or allusion), and thier pilots weigh in - which is the vast, vast majority of "other" airline pilots posting in other forums. And that's across all of APC.

Be respectful, and everyting will go fine.

FWIW, since you like throwing stones, in all my time at Delta I’ve never seen a gatehouse PA. And I can count on one hand the number I’ve seen from the front of first class. And that was due to something bad happening.

Default "Quit being A-holes!

I made a "gatehouse" some 20 years ago in La Garbage, in the old terminal. Citizens of NY were being a$$haoles to my gate agents, and I also witnessed the same going on at Airtran. So, I picked up the PA and explained the delay and that if they'd turn around and look out the window and explained that THAT was the line for takeoff; that it winded on that taxiway (bravo) around the terminal to the south end of 31, on the other side of the airport to take off on 13. The last airplane was probably number 40. No one was getting anywhere, fast, and that it would do everyone good to be nice and be patient. I used my best Texas drawl, too. Gate agents appreciated it.
