Being the only large union on property (dispatchers are unionized, but much smaller in number) stands in the way more than it helps. Management is obsessed with downplaying the value of a union in the eyes of our non-union groups, which often means giving away items that we negotiate to the non-union groups (at our expense).

One of the major roadblocks in our attempt to achieve permanent positive space commuting was the company’s insistence on us bearing the cost of giving that same benefit to the entire flight attendant group, in the interest of “fairness”.

That’s because you have smart management. When unskilled, uneducated labor is organized and resistant, the product turns to sheet. Ask me how I know. The day Delta fully unionizes, is the day your premium product dies.

Just look how they migrate through every airline's forum here posting constantly trying to show everyone how smart they are. They think they're doing us a favor! If the Delta pilots don't like the reputation they have or think it's unfair then they should work on it. We all put our pants on 1 leg at a time. Just stop acting like haughty smartest guys in the room all the time. We know your company is profitable and well run. We know your contract is the richest. We know your naval officer unforms look sharp. We don't need to be constantly reminded.
Even DL pilots avoid ATL. They don’t even acknowledge their own in ATL. Don’t take it personally

This. Delta’s management team has taken a methodical and disciplined long-term approach to their business. When American and United were outsourcing mx overseas, Delta was growing DTO and marketing their MRO services to other airlines. Airlines worried about fuel hedging? Delta bought their own refinery. While other airlines are concerned with making splashy headlines for new airplane orders, Delta is consistently picking up 2nd hand aircraft for deep discounts. Not every plan has worked out, but their approach has been markedly “creative” when compared to industry peers. They’re looking beyond just the next month-end. It does appear American and United have taken note to some degree and are applying it in their own ways, but they're definitely playing catch-up at this point.

Seriously, this doesn't happen with United guys. Why does every AA thread have a bunch of Dleta guys commenting. This one should be moved over to the Delta forum.

There was a “United guy” who recently achieved an unsavory APC milestone—they got an entire American thread shutdown. In fairness to UA pilots the perpetrator has about 3 months on UA property. Prior to United they had vast experience in riding coattails…

Thanks for defending us as a newb to AA - means a lot. It's entertaining to watch you, SoFlo, GreatMovie, and LAX all try to one up each other.

SoFlo is a Dbag. I literally couldn’t take his random misguided nonsense anymore. Idk you, we’ve had zero interactions until today. Your post history reminds me of Laxtoden haha. Multiple “going off the rails” moments. Also everyone is apparently a “newb”, haha, nice…
