American Hiring Freeze
#221
The pilot group however leaves a lot to be desired. For most of my career Delta guys have acted like they're superior to everyone. Just try saying hi to one in uniform especially passing through ATL. Just look how they migrate through every airline's forum here posting constantly trying to show everyone how smart they are. They think they're doing us a favor! If the Delta pilots don't like the reputation they have or think it's unfair then they should work on it. We all put our pants on 1 leg at a time. Just stop acting like haughty smartest guys in the room all the time. We know your company is profitable and well run. We know your contract is the richest. We know your naval officer unforms look sharp. We don't need to be constantly reminded.

AA and others will be at OBAP and RTAG in full force
make no mistake, as soon as Boeing un-a$$ itself, the airlines will be behind the power curve yet again and in crisis mode again.
this is a good time to hit the job fairs (the ignorant will not attend, and thus, crowds will be lighter), meet the recruiters (see prior comment), and tweak those resumes.
Cadet-to-787 Captain in less than 12 months no longer is happening. yes this is a shock for some.
indeed the industry is crashing

RTAG: $100 for "non vets"
OBAP: $300-$500 depending on early registration, member, etc
NGPA: ??? unknown price
WAI: $525
RTAG should be packed, it is the lowest price option of all the career fairs.

and it’s the last major convention of the year. I’ll be there for the 3rd year in a row helping out.

This is F*ing exhausting. A constant whose D is longer. The truth is 95% of the 3 pilot groups are happy and enjoy an amazing QOL, and understand no job is perfect. Other than that, this is pathetic.

it’s easy to get a good deal when you’re the only union on your property. You sub commanders would have no chance against Bobby Ice.
