Not really. The union message board shut down recently, so the whackjobs without Facebook migrated here

Knew there was a reason I didn't go on there.

The fact that these people and the Kapo pilots want me to single engine taxi is reason enough to always run both engines and apu as long as possible.
Some of you people really need to start thinking of yourselves first. I have no problem not extending duty time even if i'm number 1 for takeoff.

It just occured to me that this pilot hiring pause and the contract talks ending (without agreement) between AA and the FA union were both announced on the same day.

this could all be a part of it. But I think it has more to do with we just have more pilots right now.

the opening of PHX 73 and ORD 320, puts some impact on the training pipeline.

also the delivery delays hurt. I mean look at the amount of float proffer vacays they are giving for the 78 crews.

also, we have a ton of planes going in for retrofit this fall. 777-300 getting new interiors. While the first one is going in August the rest will follow. The 319’s are getting an extra row of business class. The Alaska 321’s are all going in to be retrofitted to match the rest of the fleet.

so the fall winter schedule will be smaller. Which would be these classes. Classes starting in Jan would be to fill the summer 25 schedule.

but I know nothing. Just trying to look at it from a 30k foot view.

Assuming DFW 737? I could see that if you are taking packs off engine bleeds and putting them on the APU right after clearing the runway. I still wouldn't start the APU airborne though, just wait till after clearing, in case some non-normal stuff pops up, to avoid distractions.

I find the millennial and younger CAs are generally pretty good, what are you seeing? The older guys are just ****ed at everything in their life and take it out on the guy next to them. They use the FOs as therapists.
