So now we are insulting people in the spectrum? I take offense to that, as a father of a kid in the spectrum I guarantee my kid is not that stupid.

I just pulled last years overall average. DFW and CLT have been getting hammered the last month or so.

I’ve had a similar situation lately. Scanned my ticket and proceeded to the jetbridge door, when one of the agents tried to make it sound as if I was required to check it and send it below. This was a first. The flight was full but I didn’t see any pilots listed on the jumpseat. So I told her I can just ask the captain if i can store it on the flight deck. I’ve done it a few times. If I get denied for whatever reason, then I’ll just check it on the jetbridge as she was following me down there anyway. She claims they “aren’t allowed to let us get on like that” or something equivalent to that. I said ok and looked the other way and just shook my head and rolled my eyes.
She said it like she was an authority figure over me or something. I wanted to say something else to her since I saw her talking rudely to other passengers, but didn’t want to cause a scene, since that’s not a good look for a pilot.
I asked the captain and he said yea sure no problem. Set my bag upfront, secured it, then I looked at the agent as I went back to take my seat and she gave me this evil look. Wasn’t trying to be an axx or anything, just doing what is actually allowed. She clearly didn’t like me “going over her head.” Oh well.

Just a few days ago at DFW I stood in uniform, ID visible, in front of the gate agent, who asked if I was operating the flight. I said no, I'm deadheading. She told me "you're not a deadheader. You're a normal passenger," and that was the end of the discussion. What part of dressed up like a pilot, with ID, she didn't get, wasn't clear. I wasn't impressed.
