Hired today? I would say 73 CA in LGA or MIA in <3 years, 320 CA in 4 and WB FO in 6. Want DFW? Double those times.
I understand PHX CA is extremely senior because of the America West guys. Any idea how that might come down? How’s LAX 320 CA?

I wouldn't (plan) on PHL 787 FO being that junior for someone hired today with the current environment. The bid that went that low was a one-off HUGE vacancy for added PHL WB flying, where 133 pilots were awarded that status. This amount of movement is not normal practice for WB FO awards. The following current bid into that seat had the junior pilot awarded (3/2017 DOH) which is more in line with normal trends. FYI it took me about 5.5 years to hold 78FO as the most junior on the fleet when I bid it last year.

Not to mention age 67 will throw a huge wrench in progression (if implemented), which is unfortunately more likely than not.

It's a moving target. How many bodies did the current upgrades or new w/b FO's have to get through/past to upgrade or get the w/b FO seat? What was the retirement numbers in those periods? How many w/b's were added in those years? How many guys got hired between their DOH and your future DOH?

The current junior w/b FO has 4,300 bodies below him. The current junior Captain has 3,000 bodies below him. Is that going to stay the same? What's the hiring forecast? Is that 2-4(5?) years worth of hiring. Keep in mind that's at the juniormost base.

Add 25% to APC's numbers. That will be pretty darn close.

Yes- Those numbers accurately reflect my current 2024 pay rate. Also 401k is 17% now

I was going to start a thread but then saw this one which works out great for my question:

Do I make the switch from 737 to 320?

Currently MIA 737 FO but moving to NC. I sit at around 65% CLT 737 FO and 72% CLT 320 FO.

Also a tall dude that wouldn't mind a change and a bit more room in the flight deck.
Not planning on upgrading any time soon and want to play the senior FO game for a few years as I have a kid on the way.
I noticed that there are far more senior FOs in CLT 320 than CLT 737 (adjusted for base size)
Should this make much of a differnce in my decision on whether to swith to the bus? Comfort vs quicker way to the top 25%... hmmmm

If you don't like working CLT 737 short call is the life. Maybe try that for a little bit before you commit to a new type rating. However the bus is a much nicer office.

How much seniority do you need in CLT to avoid those trips with constant 3-4 legs every single day?. I love NC but those trips look brutal. MIA flying feels much better but living down here kinda sucks

I dunno. I bid SC reserve and will continue to do so until I can hold 1-2 day trips (I'll probably upgrade before that happens).
