Here's another one for you; FA injured in a crew van accident. Van overfull so she squeezed in and was not wearing a seatbelt.

T-boned at an intersetion and injured.

Denied OJI and she lost tens of thousands in income and medical expenses.

Would these happen at another airline? Possibly.

Best advise? Stay in your lane.

Remember kids, airlines are corporations.
That's different.
and that has 100% happened at other airlines.

Not obeying traffic laws is not the same as helping a passenger at an airport. We get monthly emails praising pilots for pushing wheelchairs and monthly emails telling us to buckle up in the van. I'm not advocating that we should all be pushing wheelchairs or load bags. If you don't want to, there are much better reasons to give:

1. We are not trained for it and could make a mistake.
2. By doing someone else's job we are neglecting to do our own (yep, even waiting in line to get some food is part of our job so make sure we are ready for the next flight).
3. We aren't required to. I don't tell the gate agent to load bags, so why would anyone tell me to.
4. Pushing a passenger up the jetbridge and then leaving them there doesn't solve their problem of getting to the next flight.
5. If the ramp doesn't have enough people to load the bags, they don't have enough people to push you back either.
6. I'm not a people person

Use any of those, but stop saying you will get in trouble if you help.
