[VIDEO] AA pilot loads baggage in EYW

It's possible but would probably require explicit prohibition in the SOP, job description, employee handbook, etc. Company would probably need to notify you specifically, ie line item initials for prohibited tasks.
The more generic the task, the more likely it would be covered. Handling bags is pretty generic... gate agents do that too and I doubt they get any training other than "bend your knees, not your back, when you lift".
Driving a tug or baggage cart might cross the line, or connecting and starting an external gen or air cart. Those would require specific training.

Ask Jay about OJI's...

Here's another one for you; FA injured in a crew van accident. Van overfull so she squeezed in and was not wearing a seatbelt.
T-boned at an intersetion and injured.
Denied OJI and she lost tens of thousands in income and medical expenses.
Would these happen at another airline? Possibly.
Best advise? Stay in your lane.
Remember kids, airlines are corporations.

Once had a freight dog tell me he landed bfe at 2am and there was no one there to unload the freight. Dispatch told him to get the fork and do it himself with his FO. He promptly told them to take a hike and then went to the hotel for this exact reason.

Yeah I figured that was probably the case but was just repeating the headline. Didn't want to spend the time to go look it up. Also, doesn't matter anyway because to the flying public it is effectively an AA pilot.
