Stop trying to get out of showing your work that one does not make millions more at Delta over their career. You seemed pretty confident in that but yet have zero evidence to back it up whereas airbus did.

Negative, every time I have edited a post it has shown "edited at ....." underneath it. Unless you found some way to hack the system, if that is the case mods should look into you.

lol this turned to a downward spiral quickly….
so from reading all this for the first time last night since my post:
1. DAL backers are claiming you make “millions more”, then not backing it up. Then saying the “AA newbs” need to prove that you won’t, even though they were not the ones making the original claim.
2. Anyone saying anything positive about AA are “newbs” even though personally I believe I have been here longer than you. I could be wrong, but based on what I have seen from you I am pretty confident of that.
3. If you guys hate it here so much then seriously, why are you even here? Don’t want to commute? To me it seems that you all view this place as a regional level operation. I would rather commute to a real major airline than live in base for a regional pos operation. So seriously dude, put up or shut up. Go commute to the real airlines if that’s really how you feel.
4. To the OP. Don’t let this deter you from AA. Everywhere has thorns, ours are just very vocal on here.
Oh wait, that’s me being a “newb” again…

To the OP, be careful taking advice from many of these people who haven’t even been here a year and are still in the bight eyed newb stage of their journey. It’s cute to see and all but they haven't seen the meat of the operation yet and can give you some bad information. Your “””””””””friend””””””””” should go to Delta and never look back with all things being equal. Just look at the rest of the threads here compared to the threads over at the Delta forums to see which airline has the bigger issues in their contract. Your “””””””friend”””””””” has been warned.
Keep in mind AA has a much smaller user base on APC than UAL and especially DAL. This draws more attention to the loud, unhappy voices who spend their time yelling at the clouds.
That aside, I’d say the people who have been here a year or less are the exact people you need to hear from. They are living the theoretical worst they will ever live at the airline, and are actually in touch with what is happening in training and as junior pilots on the line.

Great choices to have. DAL is a great company. Few things to consider: Both companies have announced hiring intentions for 2024. AA plans on 2100+, DAL around 1000. This is how many folks your friend will have under them this time next year barring any black swans. Quite a difference. AA also shows no signs of slowing down in future years, and dare I say DAL will likely hire less than 1,000 in 2025.
Ignore the trolls, the contracts and QOL are very similar. AA has the better commuter policy. WB FO career expectations are probably similar due to seniority differences. As previously mentioned, WB CA is probably out of the realm of possibility for either unless your friend is extremely young. NB CA upgrade opportunity will be quicker at AA.
Only area I see DAL consistently beating AA in the upcoming years for a pilot hired today is profit sharing.

a lot of lifers in the right seat at Delta for a reason too.. they make bank being senior in the right seat and have no responsibility.

It's not "easy" math Red.
It requires time, effort, reading comprehension, and the application of contract items.
Spoon feeding will not happen here.

If a pilot in the market for choosing an airline and wants to compare earnings pretty detailed research is required.
Same old same old AA attitude though, just wants to do simple math.
Ug! Caveman says pay rate same same! Ug!
Work rule? Ug. Me work. Ug!

Here is some simple math for readers (although not really math, that's the best kind)
Delta can double dip.
AA cannot double dip. Well, except APA insiders, they can dump their trips into open time for PU and then go hunting for premium.
