Even with the weather recently our ops have been pretty good, some of the best I've seen during the summer. Does no one remember summer 2018 and even worse summer 2019???

I also saw delta said they were done hiring for the year as well.
think all their classes for 2024 are filled up. CJO’s likely for the winter right now. Rumor as of now that Daddy D is done hiring for the year. 1,100 is still the number for 2024

Can't say I agree that being a junior captain sucks. I'm < 2 years in at DL, 85% in category, 17-18 days off holding a line with mostly commutable trips and 80 hours credit per month. If that sucks I'd love to see what having it good looks like.

yeah the key is to live in base. At 80% ER A bidding reserve my life is better than ever with new contract. Average about 8 days of leaving my house for work for 75-90 hours credit the last year.

Would love to live in base. I agree it would make things better. As it stands now I'm a 4 hour drive or a short flight from my base. Still can't complain.

Irony is, it's not even an on house operation. It's lsg or whoever. Out of our control.

I’ve only been here less than two years and have gotten sick twice from crew meals. I generally have an iron gut. Never again.

I’d personally be just as happy doing that as Transcons on the NB side of things. But I like going up and down and keeping busy; SFO or SEA for the overnight doesn’t really move the needle for me vs DSM or SDF. Now if MAD, BCN, or FCO enter the equation I guess I’m willing to sit there for a while and stare at the ocean. Being augmented helps.
