Please see edited post, which included the DL contract January '23 in full.

Just because someone won't spoon feed you doens't mean the information isn't accurate.

Don't be lazy.

Here's the Delta contract again, in case you missed it:

Commuting for the forseeable future. AA & Delta bases are equal commutes.

While I understand that a lot of the hostility over the APA/APLA merger and general *****ing on social media is from a small group of people... but man it's aggressive and paints a toxic picture at AA.

Anyway, asking for opinions from current mainline folks. Thanks
All things being equal, Delta. But they aren't. You'll lake a step down in commuter policy with Delta requiring 2 flights vs AA just show up. For a career commuting that's a ton of time wasted at the airport unpaid and lots of waking up earlier for no reason. If you love the atmosphere of the crew room you might not mind it. If you never want to step foot in a crew room again, you'll resent it.

Financials, earnings, profit all favor Delta. AA is generally considered to have better bases. If you were to move to base, where would you want to live? Never heard a Delta pilot wish they were at AA. Can't say the reverse is true. Movement favors AA. You're probably SOL at both for being a WB captain if you're close to 40, maybe even late 30s.

I'm not being lazy, and I'm not the one who claimed "millions".

I'm well educated on Delta's contract, and there are several things in it that are very lucrative. Nobody said otherwise.

But I challenged you to specifically show your work in regards to your "millions" claim. You won't do so, because you can't do so, and I called you on it. Not my job to do your BS hysterical homework.

Again, tap out noted.

Over a full career, it's definitely 7 figures. Not sure why you are even trying to argue this lol. Just take the L

As for the math, you'll have to do that yourself.

Luckily, it's easy.

You won't belive anything a stranger would post anyway, or at least you should not.

You will have to look beyond the simple hourly rate x months/years on property to calculate. You will have to take the time to read the language carefully. For instance the language DL has allow double dipping, APA does not allow double dipping unless you are in the APA PU club), has an honest to goodness profit sharing plan for pilots only, and there are many more work rules, coloqially called "quality of life" rules, which really means "choice to earn more or have more time off" rules.

These work rules have a huge impact on the W2.

The contract comparissions made by the APA are cherry picked, below is the DL contract in full. See for yourself.

what do you mean double dip?

if you are talking about being bought off for training we can double dip now. It’s pay no credit for the bought trip.

To the OP, be careful taking advice from many of these people who haven’t even been here a year and are still in the bight eyed newb stage of their journey. It’s cute to see and all but they haven't seen the meat of the operation yet and can give you some bad information. Your “””””””””friend””””””””” should go to Delta and never look back with all things being equal. Just look at the rest of the threads here compared to the threads over at the Delta forums to see which airline has the bigger issues in their contract. Your “””””””friend”””””””” has been warned.
Yes, instead take the advice from this genius that’s been here slightly over a year.

Funny how no one can show this “easy” math.

Define "slightly". On a geographic timescale that could mean millions of years.
