I don’t agree. I’ve watch ALPA screw over pilots many times in the last 25 years.

As far as I can tell APA has historically done a fabulous job ensuring AA pilots came out on top in mergers. Is there an event I’m unaware of that I should know about?

Also it can’t be both ways. In This thread I’ve been called out for not wanting alpa because APA has no oversight and also been told not wanting alpa is the same as not having faith in my current union leadership because even with ALPA it’s still our people.

I’m not seeing a good argument against APA representation for a merger with the WO. I see lots of potential issues with ALPA merger policy and that process has had lots of failures over the years.

Better start a card drive at all three WOs then becuase thats the only way you will get ALPA off their property. I guess the only other way is after a seniority list integration, that might trigger a vote for representation.

The ALPA merger policy changed after the USAir AmericaWest merger. Since then, its been relatively smooth sailing.

which union matters not.

Self-solution. Doesn't work? Then mediation-arbitration.

It's not complicated.
