DAL's sodomizer is worse. Swapping sport complaining about trips in the sq and all the DAL guys with similar seniority to me were ****ed about my 23 hr LAX or 20 hr PHX layovers.
One guy never had a layover longer than 13 hrs and he'd been there for 3 yrs. YMMV I'm sure.
Just sayin' everyone has their issues.

You just ruined his "consensis" (sic) ruling.
DL friend bailed on n/b CA flying. When we were talking about PBS he said his bid status, with 200 (+?) pilots, had *1* open time trip all month...and it was a turn on a day he was already flying. With no open trips there wasn't anything to start the trip trading frenzy. He bid back to w/b FO.

OP - "Seems like the consensis is AA NB schedules tend to result in less total monthly days off than any of the Big 4. If true, why?"

As for my own QOL at AA, I flew 8 days in Dec, and could've flown less but my own family situation was conducive to flying over the Holidays. Yes, I know the day drinkers among us don't consider SC days not used a day off (and I don't really either), but I'm usually pretty productive on other things going on in my life on those days.

Stop bringing facts to the narrative that all other airlines (particularly ALPA represented) are miles ahead of AA in all things QOL. That's simply not part of the narrative and is not welcome here.

That is not at all representative of the NB pilot group overall. None of the FOs I know have 19 days off ever, except when taking vacation. I'm sub 40% in base, bid max days off, and in Jan was only awarded 14 days off. Most I ever get is 16, and 15 is the norm.

Thats because the floor of the credit window and ALV is so high. If we could get a 72 hour line, we’d get more days off.

About 25 days off a month on SC 320 FO LAX. Give or take a few days. I had to proffer to fly in order to consolidate. Don't come here if you don't want to sit around and get paid for not flying. Also impossible to fly on holidays with all the money grubbing people with more seniority picking up the premium.

The math isn't that tough - 5:15 per day. 3 days = 15:45, 4 days = 21:00.
AFAIK they don't post the monthly avereage per day anymore, or it's shifted to someplace else (PBS cover pages??), but the average per day is typically close to 5:30 +/- 5 minutes if my memory is correct. So the average 3 day is more like 16:30 and the average 4 day is more like 22:00.
Back when SW flew less days than AA and AA's n/b flying sucked, or so the group think said, SW posted their monthly days flown, income, etc to show the Air Trans guys how much better they'd have it under the SW contract. The most shocking thing that came out of that was .... drumroll.... the average days at AA and SW were within small decimals of each other. I'd rather see a larger data based comparison vs a small anecdotal comparison.

Our trips suck becasue of the sodomizer and APA's lack of ability to make anything better for QOL, got work rules?? They are good at copy-catting pay rates tho, so there's that.

United was pretty good at copy-catting pay rates. At least they had ALPA working hard for that... :-/
