Default Sign the alpa card - end apa dysfunction

Hello-

I have been watching the APA circus for over 10 years, both from the inside and out. We need to move to ALPA. No one can argue that United and Delta ALPA did all the heavy lifting this round.

The list of APA dysfunction is long and deep, but lets just highlight a few
-Currently firing union volunteers for simply supporting ALPA merger
-Pursued a targetted approach which wasted YEARS and millions of dollars in lost compensation
-Alost SUNK the profession last fall when 5 out of the 20 BOD members voted to accept the extremely sub-part TA .... just unbelievable

-Rep recall language is a joke, no one has been recalled at APA since it started in 1963

All the information on the card drive is here www.aap
ilots4alpa.info

...and here is the card itself- print, sign and mail. CARD HERE

Lets turn the trajectory of our union around.

How to sign a card

APA itself may have put the final nail in the coffin. The recovery and lack of information from this hack is astounding. APA is on its way out.

I was all for a merger, but undecided on a card drive/decertification.

How they've handled this IT failure had me print out and sign a card. Bush league doesn't even begin to cover it.

Here we are bidding for December, and none of the OAC tools are available. In a large bid status the pairing sorter and looking at historical bids (especially with the holidays) is borderline essential. Rob also has said APA will stop providing PBS Bid Award data for LiteSabre trips going forward, which is amazingly helpful to see what trips you can hold.

But don't worry, they got that PAC donation link up and running lickedy-split.

100%. It’s been over 2 weeks and many I know still can’t even log in.

I am disappointed. At a minimum I expected a tough sounding email about 10 paragraphs long how APA is not to accept this and blablabla.

thanks for the reminder, fell victim to the high pressure new hire PAC sales pitch and was doing a few bucks a month, just changed that to zero.

ALPA drive completely aside, the idea that you should stop contributing to the arm of the union dedicated to protecting our profession (which is under fire from multiple threats - 1500 hour rule, foreign carriers, single piloted aircraft, age 67, etc) in order to hurt said union is shortsighted, at best (That’ll sure show ‘em!”) 🤪

If you want to save money and hurt the union, it would make more sense to just leave it and stop paying your dues. Also not a wise move, but hey you do you.

you can contribute to the ALPA pac without being an ALPA member. Just FYI.

You get charged union dues even if you're not a member.
