Absolutely. The only way this is going to get done is getting cards sent in and doing an end run around an APA BOD that has a history of ignoring what is in the best interests of its members.

Fair point about PMA vs ESB, although combining them means that one's income can nearly be fully replaced for the 1st 12 months of a disability. The ALPA guys should make known with the corresponding ALPA programs are.

Never forget that APA spent $100,000 of our dues to pay some survey company to poll the pilots what our priorities for the new contract are, then manipulate the results to try to justify what they were always going to negotiate any way. Which were the easy things and what only the top of the seniority list wanted. Then try to claim that “Schedule Flexibility” was not a priority for the pilot group like we were all born yesterday? Like at what airline out there is schedule flexability not a top priority for the pilot group, other than pay?

Of course, the one percent is really 1.3 percent because of the dues increase during negotiations. Isn't it a conflict of interest when APA makes more when we are trying to get a contract? Sounds like both sides of the table have incentive to drag things out...

One percent dues should be their answer. If they can't even give that softball answer, hopefully they aren't anywhere near the negotiating team...

APA is still stuck in a world before consolidation of the Legacy carriers.
There are 3 of the original Legacy carriers remaining. Having all 3 under one Union would be unvbelieveably powerful. Having one outlier (AAL, APA) muddies the water considerably.
It's the closest we could ever see to a Guild.
