If you want to save money and hurt the union, it would make more sense to just leave it and stop paying your dues. Also not a wise move, but hey you do you.
Who do we see before senate committee recently? I assure you APA is no where near this table. ALPA had a seat front and center. APA has done nothing to lift the profession.

Yeah. I specifically said "ALPA drive aside...." Not trying to wade into that debate. My point is and was, donating to the APA PAC (or ALPA PAC equivalent, whatever that is) puts dollars directly to our elected representatives in order to ensure that our (the pilot profession) interests are heard and supported. As others have said on this thread, whether we like it or not thats how our political system works. All I was trying to say was that withholding your PAC money because you don't like one of those unions doesn't hurt the union - it hurts pilots.

The truth is that APA has one of the largest PAC donation rates in the industry and punches above its weight politically. Ask around on Capitol Hill.

The list of APA dysfunction is long and deep, but lets just highlight a few
-Currently firing union volunteers for simply supporting ALPA merger
-Pursued a targetted approach which wasted YEARS and millions of dollars in lost compensation
-Alost SUNK the profession last fall when 5 out of the 20 BOD members voted to accept the extremely sub-part TA .... just unbelievable

-Rep recall language is a joke, no one has been recalled at APA since it started in 1963

All the information on the card drive is here www.aap
ilots4alpa.info

...and here is the card itself- print, sign and mail. CARD HERE

Lets turn the trajectory of our union around.

How to sign a card

Four known advocates for a Pilots’ Choice are running in the DCA and DFW elections that open at midnight Central Time on Wednesday, March 13. Listen to their podcast episodes here to find out why they are running, why they signed a card, and why they deserve your vote in local elections.

First Officer Brandon Lighty for DCA Chair: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas...=1000648894982

First Officer Tom Lawler for DCA Vice Chair: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas...=1000648894876

Captain Brian Smith for DFW Chair: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas...=1000648895011

Captain Drew Coleman for DFW Vice Chair: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas...=1000648894875

Vote electronically here: https://apa.sequent.vote/
Or request a mail ballot here: https://electiontrust.com/apabod

To vote electronically, you will need a pin that should have been mailed to your address on file with APA several weeks ago. If you never received a pin, then check your address on file with APA and request another pin from APA Election Coordinator Kathy Lazenby at 817-302-2175.

Over 8,500 cards collected, let’s finish the card drive strong.

The newest AA Pilots for ALPA Instagram reel highlights how the APA National Officers and BOD members were given yet another chance to listen to the membership and stand up a merger committee. They didn't- so that is why the card drive is moving forward.

Many of you may be new at AA. Watch this reel to understand how APA has repeatedly maneuvered to try to block your right to vote.

Fwd to all your AA colleagues on Instagram. There are still thousands of pilots that are still trying to get up to speed on what this is all about and why a majority of AA pilots have signed cards wanting a democratic election.

over 50% of our pilots signed a ALPA card and Ed won't allow continuation of the ALPA committee. Clearly is looking out only for himself and APA.

too late. no comittee. a vote or nothing. A NMB weighed vote.

I'm new here. I also grew up around a bunch of ALPA pilots who were never happy with ALPA. This is a pretty serious step and I'd like to have as much information as I can to form an opinion. It's going to take a while to get up to speed so in the meantime, can someone give me a couple of bullet points as to why abandoning APA and joining ALPA is the right move? If the issue is with APA leadership, can we not vote to replace said leadership? It's my understanding that there are term limits.

Why did the BOD choose to not follow the recommendations of the committee and proceed to Phase 2? I'm not up on parliamentary procedure, but I imagine a motion was introduced and it got "Nay-ed". It doesn't seem that anything is binding until the membership votes on a merger agreement.
