Pay adjustment date shenanigans
#12
Per the email from APA today:
In November 2023, the Company will begin making adjustments for those impacted pilots (those with less than 12 years of service) who currently have January Classification Dates. Each pilot’s Classification Date will be adjusted to match that pilot’s Date of Hire, absent any relevant leave of absence or other circumstance. Additionally, regarding pay in the November 2023 Contractual Month, the pilot’s pay level will increase to the new Pay Level “step” on the later of Nov. 1, 2023, or the new Classification Date (in the event a pilot’s date is adjusted to a date later than Nov. 1). Pilots who are adjusted in November will see this increased pay level on the Dec. 15 paycheck (the true-up paycheck for November work performed). Work will continue each month, with work in December focusing on those with February Classification Dates, etc.

I had an email exchange with a Senior AA Manager yesterday. They said the first batch of updates is scheduled for 29NOV. Now that's what I was told. Don't be shooting the messenger if it doesn't quite work out that way.

APA also seemingly refuses to answer my question on whether or not the company email implies that my date won't be processed till next October (for December current classification date), which would mean that I would be going to year 3 pay even later.
