WB New York has some Deep South flying. Tends to go more junior. Be careful. Landing at 9-10 am body time and a hour drive to the hotel can be rough. Fun when you are there but then you turn around and land at 6am at JFK. Some people thrive in that environment. Opossum and Vampire do okay but not me. Europe is a little easier if three pilots on board. Asia (not currently flown from JFK) some say is easiest on the body. I have not done that yet.
30 more WB on the way over next couple years. Time to WB FO will dramatically decrease.
If it’s money you want then stay senior on the NB. Live near the airport use IMAX and pick up OT. I will proclaim that some AA pilots will make more than $1,000,000 a year. I have seen $700,000 before the current contract. Multiply that by 47% and you get over a million. Check Pilots will be making bank too.
If Europe flying is what you want then stay NB. FO will pay around $300/hr to cross the pond at end of current contract. Not sure where it will go and what base but NYC, BOS, and PHL are in the mix. The rest seat will be in the cabin but it is the same as 777. No one has been in it yet but should be nice suite style. 777 has bunks.
Be patient. Some of us waited 15+ years to be a WB FO. It’ll come.

I know it's a moving target and dropping, but what's the current junior captain in NY on the Bus and 73? How much do reserves get used/abused? I'm a captain at a ULCC and I like it, so if I need/want to bail I'd like to get back to holding the left seat ASAP. I live local.

short calls aren’t flying on the bus. Long calls get a lot of flying.

OP
You are very lucky to already live in New York as an airline pilot (too expensive to move there in terms of lifestyle hit for those of us not from there). The Airbus flying is fantastic out of JFK, lots of 2 day transcons worth 12+ hours. Congrats and welcome.
