The ECS that we just negotiated is way more broad in it's reach, and the language much more onerous, than what was unimplemented.

Fine - those are wins, but the overall reserve system will be worse than it is now. Imagine coming off a 2-week vacation and having to start from the bottom of the list because your vacation time doesn't count. Same with sick time. Going on vacation or calling out sick shouldn't be held against us when it comes to Reserve Days Works (RDW). Our current system compensates for vacation time and credits toward GTD. Of course, the company has probably viewed this as a major resource hog for years since the common tactic has been to bid reserve in a vacation month for more pay credit. Pay credit aside, we should not be penalized when it comes to RDW. This is just the company's way to discourage vacation and sick time during reserve months. I cannot find language that explains how vacation/sick time are used when calculating RDW. You can't find it. It won't be used. Yes, your month will be prorated when it comes to days available and duty days if you bid vacation during a reserve month (pre-plotted abscence), but you will be at "0" for RDW and will always be "sucking hind tit" when it comes to being used in your final two weeks of the month. But, who cares right? Everyone on reserve is a new hire...
Thanks for the point out on RDW, that is a serious concern.

Ooof, be prepared for Reserve to go junior again. Bucket system is going to turn our reserves just like a regional.

No problem. Remember - The "Devil" is in the details and APA isn't spilling the beans about alot of the details. The draft tells us exactly how RDW is calculated.

The question is, how many people don't know about that? My guess is 90+%.

Everyone has their agenda. A good reserve system is mine.
AA has made it a priority to have the worst reserve system in the business. They’ve been upset lately because it didn’t suck enough.

For higher pay rates and premium. Oh wait... our peers had already negotiated those things

Our current reserve system is a boondogle now for many, many reasons, but not because we need a bucket system.

One of them is because the company builds pairings that fall apart if someone breaks wind in the wrong direction.

40(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)% of 4+ day trips end up requiring more than 1 pilot to complete.

Yes but the difference is we are voting on a contract within parity of United and delta. Some good and some bad in all three with pay consistent across the contracts. Our TA last fall and United’s last TA were similar to the turd you just voted down. Good on you.

The no voters we have today will never vote yes. They will say otherwise but it’s not truth.

I take offense to that. Three major things for me for voting against this turd (in no particular order). TTS open time limit (lack of), no j/s in a/c bow and the sick/vacation lack of credit for the reserve month that TankerDriver mentioned. Sorry*, I want QoL. Again, you are watching items that APA gave/ will give away.

*Edit: I am not sorry. F APA.
